Why Amazon killed the spinner
The Echo Show 11 (Nov 12, 2025, $219.99 list, ~$189.99 street) is the Show 10’s successor — and the first one that doesn’t move. Same idea, bigger screen (11-inch, 1920×1200), faster AZ3 Pro chip, Alexa+ built in, spatial audio — but the motor is gone. The base is fixed; if you want it to pivot, Amazon sells a $39.99 stand.
That’s a telling decision. The rotation was the Show 10’s whole reason to exist, and reviewers were never fully sold: Engadget called it "a rotating screen… a pricey novelty," and TechRadar’s don’t-buy note was simple — "if the idea of the screen following you around is too creepy, save some cash and go for the Echo Show 8."
